Macy Rodman and Severely Mame of Brooklyn's Bathsalts (a drag show for fuck ups), are raising spirits in an ultra-festive holiday special. Co-produced by Dirty Looks NYC, a platform for queer experimental film and video, and broadcast with the analog telephiles, E.S.P. TV, this live studio broadcast event recalls the television specials of olde, like The Carpenters at Christmas, RuPaul's Christmas Ball, PeeWee's Playhouse Christmas Special and The Divine David Presents... Christmas! Featuring yuletide musings by Amber Alert, Claywoman, Diane Dwyer, Erin Markey, Raul de Nieves, Jill Pangallo, Alexis Blair Penney, Jack Raymond + TVB, Rob Roth, Rify Royalty, Colin Self and Linda Simpson.
Macy Rodman is the 24-year-old hostess of Bathsalts, “a drag show for fuck ups,” which occurs weekly at Don Pedro in East Williamsburg. A hub for outré drag performance, Bathsalts has been called "the new Pyramid Club," and has been featured in The New York Times, Out Magazine, the Huffington Post and Paper. Fashion designer, recording artist and the first crowned M(r)s Williamsburg, Rodman is also a print model with clients ranging from Ryan McGinley to Givenchy.
Severely Mame, New York City's favorite dead girl, called 'buxom and polished' by OUT Magazine is a drag queen, performance artist and burlesque dancer bringing a little terror and beauty to audiences in New York, at venues like Night of 1000 Stevies, The Wild Project, The Slipper Room and beyond!
